CURRENT INVENTORY

Instrument Pilot Training

Cleared for Approach! Improve your flying substantially, fly through clouds, and increase the utility of your pilot licence with an Instrument Rating. Gain proficiency and become a safer pilot with Instrument Training at Twin Cities Aviation!

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
1) Hold at least a private pilot certificate.
2) Be able to read, speak and understand the English language.
3) Hold at least a valid third-class medical certificate.
4) Pass a knowledge test as well as the practical test.

FLIGHT REQUIREMENTS:
1)  At least 50 hours cross country flight time as pilot in command:
    -At least 10 hours must be in airplanes for an instrument airplane rating.
2)  A total of 40 hours actual or simulated instrument time:
    -At least 15 hours of instrument flight training from an authorized flight instructor;
    -One cross country flight in an airplane that is performed under IFR conditions and consists of :
-a distance of at least 250 nm;
-an instrument approach at each airport;
-three different kinds of approaches with the use of navigation systems.
3)  A total of 10 hours may be in an approved PCATD simulator.
